Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible,
authoritative Word of God. Therefore, our ministry emphasizes the exposition of
God's Word from Genesis to Revelation, line upon line, precept upon precept.
We believe in the absolute authority of the scripture to govern the affairs of
all men.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three
persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the
Trinity and in His interaction with man. We believe in the baptism of the Holy
Spirit as manifested by the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Christ, in His Virgin Birth, in His
sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His
shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of
the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity,
regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance from sin and
acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a
relationship with God.
We believe that all men are born with a sinful nature and that Jesus died on the
Cross to redeem all men from the death of sin. We believe that this salvation is
available to all men who are willing to receive it.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life; we further believe His
power and gifts are available to believers today.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost;
they who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they who are lost unto the
resurrection of damnation.
We believe it is important to uphold the scriptural practices
of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the
regular taking of Communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is
essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living
faith in Christ.
We believe in the Church as the eternal and universal Body of Christ consisting
of all those who have accepted the work of the atonement. We believe in the need
for local assemblies of believers for the purpose of evangelism and edification.
We believe in the worship of our Lord through singing loudly, clapping and the
lifting of our hands and the tapping of the feet. We remember King David
dancing in the streets when he brought the Arc of the Covenant into Jerusalem.
We believe that evangelism is the obligation of every follower of Jesus Christ.
The Lord commands us to go out and make disciples of all the earth. We believe
that each believer is first responsible to evangelism in their own family as the
Holy Spirit leads them and gives them the ability to do so.
We believe in the promise of Genesis 12:3 regarding the Jewish people and the
nation of Israel. We believe that this is an eternal covenant between God and
the seed of Abraham to which God is faithful. We believe in supporting
Israel.
