Rockin For Christ was started back in January of 2006 in Orange County as a
Christian Outreach Evangelistic band to play Evangelistic music to people who do not know
Jesus Christ. They have been providing the music for a local Outreach Ministry called The Red Wagon. The Red Wagon has been preaching the Gospel to the Homeless on
Monday nights for many years. The Red Wagon Ministry provides a
Biblical message in English and then Spanish. After serving the WORD and
the love of Jesus Christ to the homeless, then they serve a delicious hot meal.

Now turn
up the volume on your speakers and get ready to take a blast into the past. The
year was 1954 and a 19 year old truck driver from Tupelo Mississippi nicknamed
the Hillbilly Cat was singing a new style of music off of the back of Flatbed
trucks. This cat dressed so flashy that he was also called the Mississippi Flash
due to the style of clothes he was wearing. His real name of course was Elvis
Presley. His sound from Sun records was what became known as Rockabilly music.
An acoustic rhythm guitar, a Hollow body electric guitar and an Upright Double
Bass. A little bit of up tempo country music mixed in with some rhythm and blues
and you got Rockabilly.
Now lets fast forward to 2008. Get ready for that same Good Rockin sound but with a twist. We play those old Elvis Presley Sun Records but with some new Christian lyrics. Our music has an Evangelistic message in every song. Let Rockin For Christ take you back in time to the early 1950's when the cars were boss and duck tails were the coolest. We will have your toes a tapping and your hands a clapping while singing some up tempo songs to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Ministry is to reach out to everyone with the Gospel through our own style of Gospel Music. Our hope is that others will enjoy our music and that the music will cultivate everyone's hearts to help draw every listener closer to our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that all music is spiritual and the only difference between secular music and Christian music is the lyrics and the theme of the songs. The lyrics will either lead the listener closer to Jesus or they will lead the listener away from Jesus. Our hope is that everyone who hears our music will become closer to our Lord Jesus Christ through listening to the upbeat melodies and then tuning into the lyrics pointing to our Savior Jesus Christ.
We have rewritten many popular hit songs into Christian songs with
the same upbeat melodies but with some new Evangelistic lyrics. Our list of songs
vary in styles and includes
rewritten songs from Elvis Presley, Social Distortion, Guns n Roses, Green Day,
The Ramones, The Kinks, The Monkees, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Ricky Nelson, Hank Williams
Sr., Brian Setzer, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Cash, Little Richard and

We also play many old
Hymns from the 1800's set to an early Johnny Cash style rhythm. These great old
songs re-arranged to our style of playing are guaranteed to set your hearts on
fire for our Lord Jesus Christ!
